Broken Kiln

Hi - does anyone know how to go about getting a kiln fixed? I have an Olympic Glass Kiln with a RTC 1000 Controller - The coils in the lid come one whenever it is plugged in (even when shut off)  and the controller doesn't control it at all. . . . I live in a very very rural area so there are no kiln repairmen in the area :)

I did contact the maker of the controller so they may be able to help . . . but if anyone else has a suggestion I would appreciate it.

This is almost certainly a failed relay. It happens.

Changing a relay isn't hard - it is about the same level of difficulty as changing a wall switch. Often the hardest part is figuring out which one went bad (if there are more than one) but I usually replace them as a set.
