Pictures in Color fused into Glass
Submitted by kayherbold on Sat, 06/13/2009 - 00:30.
Would anyone be willing to share the procedure of how to get those beautiful pictures fused into glass? I can't seem to locate any products to use, or what the procedure would be. The only thing I can find is to do sepia tones. But, I have some very good heirloom pictures/drawings from the family that I would like to capture and incorporate into jewelry or dishes.
Thanks.

do you have a sample picture
Hi Kay,
have you seen color pictures fused into glass? The only color pictures I have seen are fuseable decals that are screenprinted with glass powders or glass paints onto the decal paper or screen printed directly on the glass with those powders or paints.
What you could try is to print those decal papers with a regular laser color printer, transfer it to the glass and seal it with a thin clear lacquer - which I think would be OK for wall art or something that does not get used like a dish or bowl.
Have fun
