thin VS thick dichro

Is there a must use for textured pendants re thin VS thick dichro. ?? What are the actual thicknesses? Also, do you think it is safe to buy from the preferred sellers on E-Bay, because it seems to be much less expensive than from my local glass store?

I think that the textured pendant gives you a variety of looks.  

I would be careful buying on E-Bay because there is now dichro coming from China (like what they sell at Hobby Lobby) and it isn't very good.

I have ordered dichro from ebay and it has been very nice. You can always ask about where it came from. Also have ordered from well known name suppliers and got bags of scrap that had little usable glass; all with soft ends and little variety and much of it very scratched on the surface.
